You're not seeing things...

I really am posting a new entry. I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to send me notes of encouragement and thanks. I sincerely appreciate them so much. And to those of you who have been kind enough to share pictures of your finished work, I apologize for not having posted them yet. The sad truth is that, unlike all of the other lovely women with crafting and needlework blogs and sites, I am not perpetually cheerful (for me, looking at the bright side of life requires binoculars) nor am I a prolific crafter. I am an easily overwhelmed, anxiety-riddled, depression-suffering wife and mother of two teenagers. I have a full-time job that I enjoy, although the activity fluctuates between can't-keep-my-eyes-open boredom and everyone's-hair-is-on-fire stress. And to top it all off, while not entirely agoraphobic, I have never been a social butterfly who thrives on the nectar of human interaction. (I could go into the tragic details of my life that would explain all of this ad nauseam, but I'll spare you.) Just remember, this site is very important to me and your enjoyment and appreciation of it means more than you know. That said, once I finally accept this horrible time change, get my meds adjusted, start exercising and taking my vitamins, and my anxiety level drops to blue, I promise I will add more designs and behave like the Martha Stewart/Mary Engelbreit wannabe that I am. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy your holidays!
