One of the vintage patterns from the Lacetales.com web site. I looked for this pattern for a long time. I love the twig lettering they used and the best part is, the ink really does wash out and shipping is free...even on their fabric! If you like vintage patterns, you might enjoy looking around there.

This is from Andrea's design library and it's worked on an old cloth napkin and hangs in my laundry room.

I did this embroidery while sitting with my Mother in the hospital. She had altzhiemers and her nurse had given me one of the hospital pillowcases to work on and Mother used the pillowcase while she was there.
Although not fancy, it will always be my most precious piece of embroidery.

What a sweet nurse, thanks for sharing your story. I hope your mom took the pillowcase home with her.

I used chacopy transfer paper to transfer this design onto a cotton tote bag I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I keep this (as well as a few others) in my car for when I go grocery shopping so I can use my own bags. -Beth

Our first submission!! Nicely done. Children's drawings, with their natural simpilicty, often make wonderful embroidery designs. Thank you for sharing yours :)

Nancy Ann Bunny

This little Nancy Ann was bald and missing her arms. To hide both misfortunes, I gave her new arms using a pipe cleaner wrapped in embroidery floss. Then I needle-felted a bunny suit over her. I happened to have a little basket that was just the right size, but no eggs. I tried making some from clay, but they were lumpy and difficult to paint. So...I made some out of wool roving. Even the Easter grass in the basket is wool. Overall, I think she looks pretty cute (even if she is pouting like Ralph in "A Christmas Story"...)

What a GREAT idea--I have a couple of NA dolls that are half dead--I think I'll try something like this.
